Pintozor Prod. (and many others) think that it is time to question the place of oppressed persons in the public space as seen in our Western cities. With «Kit de survie en territoire masculiniste», written by Marion Thomas, they have created a docu-narrative told in the first person: Marion looks at her place as a woman in the public space and street harassment. She addresses a young self-described «incel» calling out to women on the street in the hope of finding love. «Incels» believe that they are not in a romantic relationship because they have been unfairly rejected by women. The performance intertwines the life stories of Marion and the «incel». What interests the creators are the similarities in their backgrounds and the mechanisms that drive people to violence. They devised this walk as a sensory experience, in which the audience experiences alternating feelings of intimacy and security and oppression or anxiety.
