As an experienced promoter and DJ, Jenny Cara moves effortlessly between different spaces and networks of Zurich's club and nightlife culture. She's not afraid to put her finger where it hurts - which sometimes feels like digging her own grave, as she puts it. She can't say exactly how her awareness of nightlife inequality came about, but it crept up on her, and now she's at the forefront of promoting a progressive culture and advocating for a more inclusive future. She has been a promoter for 14 years. At Club Zukunft in Zurich, she was responsible for bookings and club management while working tirelessly to bring diversity to one of Zurich's most important nightlife institutions. She is also known for organizing parties in off-space venues throughout the city. This has made her one of the main players in the translation work between the subculture and the big institutions. With her bookings, she demonstrates a keen sense for curating nights that combine established DJs with promising talent.
Zurich-based artist Belia Winnewisser's music is a full-body experience. Her sound hovers between gentle noise and brutal sounds, pairing experimental pop with sound art and club music. It engages the heart, gut and head in equal measure. During her bachelor's degree in Sound Arts, Winnewisser began working with sound synthesis and live electronics. In 2018, she completed her Master of Contemporary Arts Practice in Bern. She is also part of the bands Silver Firs, α=f/m (as a duo with Rolf Laurejis) and Evje (no longer active) as a singer, composer and keyboardist. In recent years she has focused on live performances, DJ gigs and music production. This gave her the opportunity to play in national and international venues. In addition, she composes music for radio plays, theater pieces and gives workshops in songwriting and producing. In 2018, Lucerne-based label Präsens Editionen released Winnewisser's debut album Radikale Akzeptanz. Her latest album SODA was also released on the same label in summer 2021. Her latest EP Mother Earth Took Poison In Her Soil was released last April via Die Orakel
