Discretion is at the same time what silences and what singles out the subject, creating the fiction of beings that can be individual and not inherently entangled. In what seems to be a solo performance, Catalina Insignares will stop being discrete and discreet.
Being at the same time a dancing choreographer and a curator at Gessnerallee, she will take these 2 weeks to dance and curate a chain of encounters with womxn who are in a position of knowledge and power that Catalina Insignares lacks. This chain of trust will thread all of us together. Periodically during these 2 weeks there will be a showing of something that this person wants to make visible of their own practice (a text, a practice, a small performance), and Catalina Insignares will herself make something visible in the Show «El Solito» at the end of the 2 weeks. Discrete is intended to show the otherwise hidden work of mutual support and thus focuses not on the result but on the process and on collaboration.
At the end of every session will be a talk with Catalina Insignares and the dramaturge Joshua Wicke.
